An important announcement to our watchers

Sadly, FFExpoClan has come to an end.

We decided, as a group, that we really needed a new start. Despite the fact that we do have a lot of good memories within that cosplay group, there are also some bad ones to mirror the good, and a lot of the members have grown apart as a result. We don't really need to go into much here, but we're going our seperate ways. Some are part of new cosplay groups, some our going to continue cosplaying on their own...

Thank you for all your support over the years!

Some of us will be running under a new cosplay name, Insomniatic cosplay. Our deviantART username is ~Insomniatic-cosplay, though not much is on that site at this moment in time. We still have to move everything over! We'd be so grateful if we still had some of supporters over on that account!

You're welcome to watch anybody on their own accounts as well - And once again, thank you, to all of you. You're what kept us going!

FFExpoClan is a cosplay group that formed at the London MCM Expo in October 2006. We found each other through cosplaying from Final Fantasy VII variants, and started up spontaneous LARP battles which resulted in a cosplay group being formed straight after that expo. We attend Midlands MCM Expo, Collectormania and (when we can) London MCM Expo, and are pretty much here to have fun!

We enjoy entering masquerades with skits (and sometimes solo walk-on performances!). The members of our cosplay group have walked away with a number of awards for entering masquerades. We've also organised random battle tournaments in the past, and just generally have a blast in cosplay!

:bulletblue:12/09/2008 - Midlands MCM Expo tomorrow! We hope to see you all there! And, I'm aware I haven't yet uploaded photos from our most recent Ness Gardens photoshoot. :( Recently my computer bluescreened and I lost both the photos, and PSP. Thankfully, we do have both in other places, so they will get uploaded... eventually!


:bulletblue:25/08/2008 - We recently had a cosplay photoshoot at Ness Gardens again, as we had a visit from ~Relion! Expect some pictures up soon! Some will also be submitted to ~Mungojerrie, so check her gallery during the upcoming days for new photos!


:bulletblue:06/05/2008 - We're back from Collectormania~ =D It was an awesome time, and the Air Gear group managed to walk away with third place in the cosplay competition, along with Lou as Princess Zelda winning second place! Even better though, Selph walked away with 1st play in the costume competition at the convention after party, and even dueted Sweeney Todd songs with Kai Owen (Rhys from Torchwood) on stage! We've also got some cosplay photos to upload, so expect to see them in the next couple of days!


:bulletblue:22/04/2008 - Thought it would be a good idea to have an updates journal to keep all of our watchers up to date with our plans for the future! We'll be heading off to Collectormania 13 in Milton Keynes in two weeks, and hopefully we'll return with pictures of our Air Gear cosplay group! The group will consist of Zoe, Cat, Alex and Hess as Simca, Ringo, Mikan and Ume respectively. We could possibly return with a couple of pictures for the 100 picture challenge as well. =D
A couple of weeks later we've got two ReCons coming up on the 14th and 15th of May, taking place in Chester and Liverpool. Hopefully we'll see some of you there!~

As a cosplay group, we've all decided to do some projects together. Now, pretty much everyone on deviantART has heard of the 100 picture challenge, so we came up with the idea to fill it with cosplay pictures! We're determined to finish this, and this journal will be updated as we get the photos done. xD

Do you make your own cosplays?
Yup, they're all made by ourselves, with the exception of Cat's Tohru Honda cosplay.

Where do you get your props?
They're made either by ourselves, or with the help of friends and relatives. =)

Are your costumes for sale?
Nope. None of us sell our costumes or take comissions. =(

Where do you guys live? xD
We live all around England. Some up North, some Midlands, some down South. We only really see each other at conventions and random meetups that we have once in a while.

Do you take requests?
It really depends what you mean by requests. xD If you wanted us to take a certain photos in our cosplays, I guess it would be done to the best of our abilities? But if you're talking props or costumes that would be a no, unfortunately.

What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?
The average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour. 8D - Thanks to Adam, for that. xD
